Magic Round: Brisbane's Future Looks Try-ful

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

The NRL is poised to secure the future of Magic Round, ensuring that this flagship event of the regular season will remain in Brisbane until at least 2032.

Originally inspired by a similar event in England, Magic Round has been hosted in Brisbane since its inception in 2019, with the exception of a cancellation in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event has consistently drawn impressive crowds, with this year's three-day average reaching 49,775 attendees, a slight increase from last year's 49,732.

It's notable that Suncorp Stadium has reached full capacity for all three days of the event for the past three years, following near-capacity attendance in 2021 and 2022.

Additionally, the Women's State of Origin has recently become a part of the Magic Round festivities, with Game 1 being held in Brisbane the day prior to the main event.
