Maddick Makes Waves in Origin Debut Dive

Maddick To Make Origin Debut

LeagueNews.co | Nick Loken

Hayley Maddick, fullback for the Brisbane Broncos, is set to make her Origin debut for Queensland in Game 3 of the Ampol Women's State of Origin series on May 29 at Newcastle's McDonald Jones Stadium.

The 32-year-old replaces injured co-captain Tamika Upton, who is sidelined with a hip injury from the recent game 2 loss.

Maddick joins seven other Broncos teammates in the Maroons camp at Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.

Due to injuries, Coach Tahnee Norris has made several adjustments to the lineup: Captain Ali Brigginshaw transitions from halfback to lock, stepping in for Keilee Joseph, who is out for medical reasons.

Destiny Brill will take on the starting hooker position, and Jada Ferguson will be moved to 18th player.
