Freddy Lussick, a hooker for the New Zealand Warriors, has been granted an early release from his contract to pursue his NRL career in Australia, according to warriors.kiwi.

The 25-year-old, who was signed through the end of the 2026 season, will leave the club after spending four seasons with the team.

One of three brothers who have played in the NRL, Lussick joined the NZ Warriors from the Sydney Roosters during the middle of the 2022 season.

This year, he appeared in only two games, bringing his total NRL appearances for the Warriors to 39, and raising his overall career total to 52.

In addition, he played 26 matches for the club's New South Wales Cup reserve grade team, which included their grand final victory and a win in the State Championship final.
