Luai Opens Up About Long-Term Commitment to Tigers

Jarome Luai has evolved from a controversial figure in the NRL to a respected leader and is keen on continuing his journey with the Wests Tigers, provided certain conditions are met.

Luai expressed his dedication to securing a future with the Tigers but emphasized that the club must prioritize his needs and those of his family.

"As long as they do right by me and my family, they'll have nothing to worry about," Luai stated in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.

At 27 years old, the five-eighth transitioned to the Tigers from the Penrith Panthers on a substantial deal. He has until April 30 of next year to activate a contract clause that would extend his stay by three years, adding another $3.5 million to his agreement at Concord.

When asked if the club has treated him and his family well up to this point, Luai affirmed their support, highlighting it as a crucial factor in his long-term plans.

"That's why I'm still here," Luai noted. "That's why I'm looking forward to staying here as well."
