Jarome Luai, fresh from his Four-Peat with the Panthers, has been handed the captaincy of the Toa Samoa team for the upcoming Pacific Championships.
The electric playmaker, who recently bid farewell to Penrith in memorable fashion after clinching his fourth straight premiership, is now gearing up for a new challenge with the West Tigers once the international tournament is over.
Reflecting on his appointment as captain of Samoa, Luai described it as a highlight of his rugby league career, telling 9News, "I know I've just come off the back of a four-peat, but being able to do this and represent my country as captain is definitely up there."
The 26-year-old will be making the move to the Tigers on a lucrative five-year deal rumored to be worth $6 million, keeping him at the club until 2028.
With his leadership skills honed through years of experience and success, Luai is poised to bring his winning mentality and passion for the game to his new team, ready to make his mark in the next chapter of his career.
