Rumours of a romance between NRL star Nathan Cleary and Matildas hero Mary Fowler have heated up after a photo surfaced of the pair together.
The Daily Telegraph published the photo, which shows Cleary and Fowler walking along the Nepean River on August 8, just one day after the Matildas' win over Denmark in the round of 16.
The photo was taken during their walk on the Great River Walk at Tench Reserve in western Sydney.
Both Cleary and Fowler were wearing Adidas gear in the photo, which was reportedly taken two weeks before they were seen enjoying ice cream together after a photo shoot for the brand.
Last week, Cleary's camp denied any romance rumors, stating that there was nothing to the speculation.
