BREAKING: Lomax's Legal Battle Concludes, Leaving Eels Star in Uncertain Position
Zac Lomax has unexpectedly reached a settlement in his legal dispute with Parramatta, agreeing not to re-enter the NRL without the Eels' approval prior to the 2028 season.
In a surprising development during a NSW Supreme Court session on Tuesday, it was revealed that the terms of his release would mainly remain intact.
He will continue to be prohibited from making a return to the NRL without permission from the club.
As per the agreement, he can now return without their consent in 2028, which is a year earlier than the previous stipulation of 2029.
This situation places Lomax back in a state of contract uncertainty, as he remains unable to join Melbourne unless the Eels grant their written approval.
