Lomax's Foot: A Small Hurdle to Origin?

Lomax has one game to press Origin claims

Parramatta coach Jason Ryles announced that star outside back Zac Lomax is set to return to play next week, following a minor foot fracture incurred during a crucial game where he scored a golden point field goal against the Dragons.

Ryles indicated that the club has been cautious with Lomax's rehabilitation to ensure he doesn't rush back, especially as he vies for an Origin spot.

Initially, there were expectations for Lomax to play this Thursday against the Dolphins, but he is now targeted for the game in Newcastle next Friday.

Although Lomax trained well last week, Ryles emphasized the importance of a careful approach, similar to how they managed halfback Mitchell Moses, who has also dealt with foot issues this season.

Ryles commented, "He's really good.

We're probably having to hold him back a little bit," underscoring the club's focus on Lomax's well-being as he aims for a return.

The situation will be monitored closely as Ryles stated, "He's aiming for next week, but we'll just have to wait and see.

We'll see how he goes from day to day."
