Zac Lomax, who has been sidelined from the NRL for a couple of months, is still making headlines due to ongoing developments in his career. Although he has secured a conditional release from his former club, the Parramatta Eels, they currently hold the key to his future in the league.
Lomax is eager to join the Melbourne Storm, who have shown interest in him. However, the Eels are not willing to release him without further negotiation. To expedite his exit from Parramatta, Lomax is considering hiring legal representation as he attempts to reclaim a position in the NRL.
It appears that a player swap may be the only scenario that would persuade the Eels to change their stance. Senior journalist Buzz Rothfield has fueled speculations about a potential trade between the two teams. He took to X to share a particularly intriguing proposal.
"Jack Howarth for Zac Lomax," Rothfield tweeted, hinting at the suggested player interchange. While he kept details minimal, the trade would seemingly be difficult for the Eels to refuse, should it materialize.
