The Brisbane Broncos are set to reinstate their halfback and captain Adam Reynolds into the lineup this Sunday. Reynolds has been sidelined for an extended period due to a hamstring injury but will wear the No. 7 jersey in the club's preliminary finals matchup against the Penrith Panthers.
Since Reynolds' absence, the Broncos have experienced a remarkable uptick in performance. Some observers argue that this success suggests a delay in his return, but club legend Darren Lockyer holds a different perspective.
"Nathan Cleary has the best kicking game in the competition, but Adam Reynolds is not far behind him," Lockyer stated on 2GB Radio.
He emphasized that Reynolds' main focus should be on his role within the team: "I think the key for Reyno, he hasn't played for a while, if he just focuses on what his job is for the team and playing with patience that will be the key to unlocking Reece Walsh."
Some fans are of the opinion that Walsh performs better without Reynolds, suggesting that Ben Hunt may be a more suitable halfback choice for the team. However, Lockyer is confident that both players can successfully work together on the field.
