Another Super League talent is drawing attention from the NRL for a potential move in 2027.
Leeds Rhinos hooker Jarrod O'Connor is facing a significant career choice as he approaches the end of his contract in 2026. Currently without a contract renewal, the player is free to explore offers from rival teams, with interest reportedly piquing from NRL clubs.
O'Connor, who hails from Widnes, is among eight players from the Rhinos who have less than a year left on their contracts. This situation positions him squarely in the sights of both Super League and Australian teams as recruitment efforts ramp up.
International reports have suggested a potential transfer to Australia, making O'Connor the fourth player from Leeds in two years to make the journey down under. Morgan Gannon, Harry Newman, and James McDonnell have all previously made similar moves.
Nevertheless, the 25-year-old insists that there's no rush to relocate, expressing his contentment at Headingley and optimism for a swift resolution regarding his contract situation.
In a recent interview with Serious About Rugby League, O'Connor mentioned his willingness to consider offers but clarified that he is not actively seeking a transfer. He remarked, "It'd always be interesting to listen and see what's out there."
