Brad Arthur will reunite with Wiremu Greig at Leeds Rhinos after the forward agreed to join the English club for the 2027 Super League season.
Leeds announced the signing on Friday, ending Greig's brief spell with North Queensland Cowboys.
The 26-year-old made three appearances in Townsville and will seek a steadier role in a new competition.
The agreement is described as a two-year deal with a player option for its final season.
Sporting Director Ian Blease, however, referred to a one-year agreement with an option for another season.
Greig said, "I'm really excited to be joining Leeds Rhinos. It's a club with a great history and a passionate supporter base, and I'm looking forward to getting over there and being part of it,"
Blease said Greig brought NRL experience and would provide another option in the middle of Leeds' forward pack.
Arthur described Greig as "a big, strong middle who can help us get the job done through the middle of the field,"
