Leeds Rhinos Sign Key Former NRL Forward

The Leeds Rhinos have swiftly secured one of their key forwards with a new deal.

Keenan Palasia has signed a three-year contract extension, ensuring his stay in West Yorkshire through at least the end of the 2029 season.

This new agreement removes the former NRL player from the market long-term following an impressive inaugural season in the Super League, where he established himself as a genuine leader within the Rhinos' pack and proudly donned the club's No.13 jersey.

The extension arrives just a year after Palasia's arrival in England, having initially signed a two-year contract that had attracted interest from rival clubs ahead of the 2027 season; however, Leeds has decisively closed that chapter.

After finalizing the deal, Palasia expressed his eagerness to have his future settled early, allowing him to focus entirely on the upcoming season.

"I'm really pleased to get it all sorted before the season starts," Palasia said. "That was the main thing for me, to get it done so I can fully focus on my footy and hopefully help this club win some silverware."
