Latrell exposed as Tedesco stuns, calls for change

Latrell Mitchell exposed in glaring moment as James Tedesco display stuns NRL world

Latrell Mitchell's performance on Friday night was nothing short of disastrous, leaving fans calling for him to be moved from fullback for South Sydney.

In stark contrast, James Tedesco's stellar display for the Roosters had tongues wagging as the pressure mounted on Souths coach Jason Demetriou following a winless start to the NRL season.

Demetriou's bold decision to drop halfback Lachlan Ilias and relegate Origin hooker Damien Cook to the bench failed to ignite the Rabbitohs, as the Roosters steamrolled their way to a 48-6 victory at Allianz Stadium.

Rugby League legends Andrew Johns and Billy Slater wasted no time in calling out Mitchell and his teammates for a lackluster performance and questioned their commitment to the game.

Mitchell's lack of urgency and positional awareness were glaringly evident in a couple of Roosters tries, causing fans to criticize his effort.

His night went from bad to worse when he was sin-binned for a professional foul on Tedesco.

However, the most damning moment came when Roosters five-eighth Sandon Smith made a grubber kick near the Rabbitohs' 10m line, with Mitchell seemingly unaware of the impending danger as he jogged leisurely instead of racing to prevent a try.

It's clear that Mitchell's lackluster performance was a far cry from Tedesco's exceptional showing, highlighting the stark difference in their contributions on the field.

The Rabbitohs will need to regroup quickly if they are to turn their season around and silence their critics in the tough world of Rugby League.
