The Wests Tigers Women in League Luncheon took place at the Royal Randwick Racecourse this week, marking the team's inaugural season in the NRLW.
According to a report by Wests Tigers' official website, the event was hosted by Sam Squires and aimed to recognize the growing significance of women in Australian sport.
The luncheon welcomed esteemed guests such as Paralympic swimmer Ellie Cole, Sydney Kings Assistant Coach Fleur McIntyre, and Indigenous activist and author Marlee Silva.
Notably, the current NRLW team and Justin Delaney, CEO of Zurich Australia & NZ, were also present.
A panel discussion on Women in League featured NRLW Co-Captain Kezie Apps, Wests Tigers GM Women's and Pathways Matthew Betsey, and Amy Koroisau.
The panel shed light on the various challenges and opportunities that women encounter in the game.
The Wests Tigers NRLW team is set to face the Sydney Roosters in an upcoming match, which will be part of a double-header alongside the NRL at Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
