Lachlan Galvin has been recalled by the Wests Tigers to play in their NRL side after being briefly dumped to the reserves.

The swift change came after Galvin's representatives indicated he would not sign a new contract beyond 2026 due to concerns about his development under coach Benji Marshall.

This led to the decision to demote the talented young player, with co-captain Api Koroisau stating that the team values playing alongside committed players.

However, after just one week in the reserves, Galvin has been given another chance and will don the number six jersey against Cronulla Sharks on Sunday at Leichhardt Oval.

This sudden shift in decision reflects a change of heart from the coach and senior players, who have opted to bring back the 19-year-old playmaker despite previous grievances.

The decision to recall Galvin highlights the team's commitment to giving players opportunities and resolving differences to move forward as a cohesive unit.
