Breaking news from the Wests Tigers camp as young gun Lachlan Galvin has been crowned the RLPA Rookie of the Year for 2024.

In a stellar debut season in the NRL, Galvin lit up the field, starting in the No.6 jersey for 21 out of 24 games.

With four tries under his belt, 16 try assists, and an impressive average of 130 running metres per game, it's no surprise he's taken home this prestigious award.

This win also marks a special achievement for Wests Tigers, with a player from the club clinching the Rookie of the Year title for two years in a row, following Jahream Bula's victory in 2023.

From his electrifying debut against Canberra in Round 2, where he set up Samuela Fainu's first NRL try, it was clear that Galvin was a force to be reckoned with.

The young gun quickly found his groove, forming an unstoppable left-edge combination with Fainu as the season unfolded.

Here's to Lachlan Galvin, a rising star in the Rugby League world.

His future is looking bright as he continues to dazzle on the field and make his mark in the game.
