Lachlan Croker is set to make his NRL comeback this week after a grueling three-month battle with concussion symptoms that left him sidelined and struggling.

The seasoned Sea Eagles hooker was left dizzy and with eye issues following a rough tackle from Canberra's Josh Papalii, making this head knock unlike any other he had experienced before.

Having been out of action since early May, Croker is finally ready to return to the field and face off against the Raiders this Saturday, having successfully navigated a recent NSW Cup game.

Despite being no stranger to serious injuries, the tough tackling player knew that this concussion was a whole different ball game after the impact from Papalii.

Following the necessary 11-day concussion protocols, Croker found himself still facing debilitating symptoms weeks later.

"It wasn't a massive hit, but I just didn't feel right in the following weeks with headaches and whatnot," he revealed.

"That's when it hit me that this recovery wasn't going to be a walk in the park, as I had never dealt with lingering symptoms like this before."

With his sights set on making a triumphant return to the NRL, Croker's journey back to footy has been a tough one, but the resilient player is determined to come back stronger than ever.
