Lachlan Croker, the hard-working hooker for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, has scored a big win off the field by being named in the prestigious 2024 NRL Academic Team of the Year.
Known for his dedication and commitment to learning, Croker recently completed his Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and is now tackling bridging subjects as he sets his sights on a Masters of Teaching degree.
At 27, Croker has already wrapped up his bridging subjects and is now diving headfirst into the Masters program.
A true team player, he also serves as the Club's Education Ambassador, lending his expertise to deliver Wellbeing & Education workshops to the next generation of rugby league stars.
The Academic Player of the Year Award is the highest honor in the annual Academic Team of the Year, showcasing the academic prowess of players from both the men's and women's competitions.
These awards, part of the NRL's Wellbeing & Education Awards, highlight the dedication and effort that NRL and NRLW players put into all aspects of their lives, both on and off the field.
With this latest achievement, Croker has proven that he's not just a force to be reckoned with on the field, but off the field as well.
His determination and focus are an inspiration to all aspiring athletes, showing that success in education is just as important as success in sport.
