Dolphin star Kurt Donoghoe has solidified his future in the league with a fresh contract extension, as reported by the reliable folks over at Zero Tackle.

The negotiations with The Dolphins have been ongoing since June, finally resulting in a one-year deal that will keep him in the waters with the club until the end of the 2025 season.

Having made his way up from a humble train and trial agreement to a development contract this year, it remains to be seen if this new contract will propel him into the coveted Top 30 squad for the upcoming season.

A versatile player hailing from Fiji, Donoghoe has proven his ability to slot into various positions on the field - from the halves to hooker, out in the backs, or even up in the forward lines.

Originally a youngster in the Newcastle Knights system, Donoghoe faced off against former teammates Mason Teague and Isaiya Katoa in the 2022 SG Ball Cup Grand Final before making the move up to Queensland.

The journey continues for this rising star as he looks to make a splash in the rugby league scene.
