A Newcastle Knights youngster, Paul Bryan, is set to secure a new contract, despite facing a season-ending injury.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, Bryan made his debut against the Penrith Panthers just two weeks ago, where he displayed remarkable bravery after dislocating his right shoulder during his first play.

He continued to play for an additional 18 minutes with the injury, finishing the match with 27 running metres, 23 tackles, and one tackle bust, earning praise from Knights legend Andrew Johns, as well as admiration from his coach and teammates.

The Newcastle Herald has indicated that Bryan is likely to miss the rest of the season due to this injury.

However, his courage and performance have earned him a new deal, expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, ensuring he stays with the club beyond this season.
