NRLW venue change for Round 9

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

In a last-minute change, the Round Nine NRL Telstra Women's Premiership match between Wests Tigers and Newcastle Knights has been relocated from Campbelltown Stadium to Leichhardt Oval.

The decision was made due to poor air quality in the Campbelltown region caused by backburning.

The NRL was advised by Campbelltown City Council about the potential unsuitability of the air quality at the original venue.

Ensuring the safety of players, staff, and fans is always a priority for the NRL, and they expressed gratitude to the clubs and broadcasters for their cooperation in accommodating the change.

Refunds will be available for those unable to attend the game at Leichhardt Oval, with the option to request them through the Ticketek website.

All original tickets will still be valid for entry into Leichhardt Oval, ensuring minimal inconvenience for fans.
