The Newcastle Knights have finalised a 23-player squad to tour Las Vegas, a selection that was largely anticipated.
The group features captain Kalyn Ponga, new recruit Dylan Brown, Origin representative Bradman Best and senior figures Tyson Frizell, Dane Gagai and Jacob Saifiti.
Much of the focus will be on the spine as the club determines its Round 1 combination, with Brown and Ponga travelling alongside Fletcher Sharpe, Sandon Smith and likely reserve Tyson Gamble.
Cody Hopwood's inclusion suggests he is closing in on a first-grade opportunity, while the contest to partner Dylan Lucas in the second row includes Tom Cant and Jermaine McEwen.
Brodie Jones was a notable omission from the touring party, with Francis Manuleleua selected in his place.
Last year's Las Vegas combine winner Marcus D'Arce will join the squad on the trip but is not expected to take part in the match.
