Knights Tackle Young Rumours: What's the Score?

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

Newcastle Knights head coach Adam O'Brien has responded to rumors regarding the potential signing of former winger Dominic Young from the Sydney Roosters.

Reports from zerotackle.com indicate that despite Young being under contract with the Roosters until 2027, he has recently been linked with a departure from the club due to being dropped to the NSW Cup reserve-grade competition.

Less than halfway through his four-year contract, it was reported by The Daily Telegraph that Young has been granted permission to explore opportunities with rival clubs effective immediately.

This speculation around Young's future comes after he was previously connected to a possible return to the Knights following his absence from the Anzac Day match against St.

George Illawarra Dragons, attributed to inconsistent performance.

As Young's situation at the Roosters remains uncertain, O'Brien has addressed the situation, acknowledging the ongoing links to the Newcastle Knights as discussions about the English international winger continue.
