The Dragons Pathways Wrap has revealed that the Steelers suffered a tough loss to the Knights in the elimination final, with a scoreline of 44-16 at Leichhardt Oval.

Despite facing a string of injuries in the latter part of the season and during the match itself, Shaun Timmins' squad displayed true grit against a formidable Knights team aiming to secure a spot in back-to-back Grand Finals.

The Knights were lifted by winger Sosaia Latu bagging a hat-trick and lock Jack Hilliar scoring a brace.

Interchange forward Tyrone Amone and returning five-eighth Lyhkan King-Togia managed to put points on the board for the Steelers in the second half, showing their fighting spirit till the end.

Amone bulldozed his way over the try line after a slick pass from halfback Kade Reed, while King-Togia capitalized on a well-executed left-side play, with Hayden Buchanan setting up the opportunity for him to score.

Despite the Steelers' best efforts, Hilliar's late double and Latu's third try sealed the deal for the Knights, dashing any hopes of a miraculous comeback for the Steelers.
