The Newcastle Knights have made a significant addition to their roster by signing a promising playmaker from the Sydney Roosters, Brooklyn Rosemeyer, as they continue their roster reshaping for the upcoming season and beyond.
Brooklyn Rosemeyer recently debuted in the Under-21s Jersey Flegg Cup for the Roosters, and it has been revealed by Newcastle Knights Juniors and Zero Tackle that he has secured a two-year contract with the Knights.
This move is expected to position him in the halves for the Knights in the Under-21s Jersey Flegg Cup next season, especially following the departure of Haami Loza to the Penrith Panthers.
Hailing from the Central Coast, Rosemeyer contributed to the Roosters' SG Ball Cup-winning squad earlier this year and is the latest player to leave the Tricolours.
Other players from the SG Ball squad who have either already moved from the Roosters or are set to depart at season's end include Mikey Nassar (to the Bulldogs), Phillip Lavakeiaho (to the Rabbitohs), Tyson Walker (to the Cowboys), Baxter Warner (to the Bulldogs), and Cohen Dittmann (to the Cowboys).
Rosemeyer, a product of the Terrigal Wamberal Sharks, joined the Roosters through their Central Coast program in 2024, where he participated in the Laurie Daley Cup prior to his transfer to the Knights.
