The nib Newcastle Knights have provided a medical update following their Round 16 victory against the Dolphins in Perth.
Fletcher Sharpe was admitted to a local hospital after experiencing abdominal pain, which led to his removal from the field in the 48th minute for a head injury assessment (HIA).
He is currently being treated for a lacerated kidney and will stay in Perth under observation by Knights medical staff for several days.
