Knights' Recipe: A Season for More Heartbreak?

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Newcastle Knights face a challenging road ahead after suffering their fifth consecutive loss to the New Zealand Warriors, leaving them in a tough position to qualify for the 2025 finals.

With only two wins from their first seven games, the team finds itself needing to secure at least ten victories in the remaining 17 matches to have a shot at the finals, if not more.

Central to the Knights' struggles this season has been their lack of offensive productivity.

They have managed to score only 72 points across their seven games, with just 34 points accumulated in the last five outings.

Coach Adam O'Brien acknowledged that while injuries have contributed to the team's attacking woes, there are additional aspects that need addressing.

As they strive to turn their season around, the Knights will have to rely on past strategies and adaptations to regain momentum and hope for a successful turnaround.
