The Newcastle Knights have named a 22-man squad for their Anzac Day clash against the Warriors in Christchurch, with Dylan Lucas returning from injury.
The team will don a special commemorative jersey honoring the 35th Battalion, known as 'Newcastle's Own', during the game.
This battalion had nearly 600 men from the Newcastle region serve in World War I, with the jersey featuring the green and brown colors that were worn by the battalion.
The Knights will pay tribute to these brave soldiers who endured harsh conditions on the Western Front and played vital roles in significant battles such as Messines, Passchendaele, and Villers-Bretonneux.
