Newcastle Knights player Leo Thompson will be out of action for approximately a month following a knee injury sustained during a game against The Dolphins.
Thompson, a 24-year-old prop, left the field in the 68th minute of the match and later experienced pain in his knee.
According to zerotackle.com, he is expected to miss at least four weeks while he recovers.
The Knights will also be without Kai Pearce-Paul, who is serving a suspension, but Jacob Saifiti is set to return next week from a cork injury.
Thompson's absence will be felt by the team, as he contributed 84 run metres and 25 tackles in his 35-minute appearance during the game.
The Knights will be hoping for a speedy recovery for Thompson as they navigate through upcoming matches without him.
