The Newcastle Knights have locked in two of their own, with local lads Brodie Jones and Dylan Lucas both signing contract extensions.
Jones, who was set to become a free agent in 2024, and Lucas, who still had a year left on his current deal, have committed to the club for the long haul.
Lucas, a versatile player who can slot into the back-row or centres, has been a standout performer in the 2024 NRL season.
The 24-year-old has signed on until the end of 2027, solidifying his place as a key player in Adam O'Brien's squad.
Since making his debut in 2023, Lucas has blossomed into a vital asset for the Knights.
"Dylan has really come into his own over the past few seasons and has become an integral part of the NRL squad," said Knights director of football, Peter Parr, praising Lucas' commitment to the team.
With these two local talents locked in, the Knights are building a strong foundation for future success on the field.
The boys in red and blue are looking to make a mark in the league, with Jones and Lucas leading the charge as proud Novocastrians.
