The Newcastle Knights are reportedly upset over losing young talent Lyhkan King-Togia, a half from the St George Illawarra Dragons.
According to zerotackle.com, the Knights believed they had secured King-Togia's services, as he could negotiate with other clubs after November 1 last year since he was off-contract at the end of 2025.
His delay in re-signing with the Dragons raised concerns among fans, but they eventually confirmed a two-year extension.
However, Wide World of Sports The Mole revealed that King-Togia had initially signed with the Knights for the start of the 2026 season.
Subsequently, he decided to re-sign with the Dragons during the ten-day cooling-off period, which allowed him to backtrack on the agreement.
This situation has left the Knights feeling frustrated and disappointed over the failed signing.
