Knights extend ties, secrets swirl in shadows

The Newcastle Knights have secured a significant off-field figure amidst speculation regarding Adam O'Brien's future with the club.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, Peter Parr will take over as the new CEO, moving from his current position as Head of Football.

This transition will occur in November, replacing Phil Gardner.

Parr's new multi-year extension comes after earlier links to the Perth Bears this year.

It is reported that he agreed to the contract two weeks ago, and Chris James is set to step into the Head of Football position for the 2026 NRL season.

Before joining the Knights, Parr held various roles with teams such as the Western Reds, Adelaide Rams, Brisbane Broncos, NSW Blues, and North Queensland Cowboys, the latter where he spent over twenty years.
