The Newcastle Knights are feeling pretty chuffed after their recent clash with the Sydney Roosters in the Pre-Season Challenge.
The lads put on quite a show at Industree Group Stadium in Gosford, earning themselves a decisive victory with a scoreline of 48-10.
The Knights' first grade squad got some good solid game time under their belts ahead of the 2025 campaign kick-off on March 7.
It was a fine display of teamwork and skill from the red and blue brigade, with standout performances from Jacob Saifiti and Fletcher Sharpe.
Things got off to a fiery start when Roosters forward Spencer Leniu copped a stint in the sin-bin for a high shot on Phoenix Crossland.
But the Knights didn't let that ruffle their feathers, as Saifiti powered over the line in the third minute thanks to a cracking pass from Crossland.
It was all action from there on out, with Sharpe showcasing his lightning-fast pace to sprint 70 metres and score an absolute ripper of a try.
The Knights were firing on all cylinders, leaving the Roosters in their wake.
All in all, it was a top-notch performance from the Knights, who are looking primed and ready for the challenges that lie ahead in the 2025 season.
A great way to wrap up the Pre-Season Challenge and set the tone for what promises to be an epic year of Rugby League action.
