The Newcastle Knights have recently been at the center of media speculation regarding the future of coach Adam O'Brien and the commitment of star player Kalyn Ponga, particularly amid rumors linking him to rugby.

In response, the club's incoming CEO, Peter Parr, addressed these issues in the media to clarify the situation.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Parr expressed confusion over the rumors surrounding O'Brien's potential exit from the club.

He stated, "As far as I'm aware, he's going to be the coach for the foreseeable future." Furthermore, he emphasized that there have been no discussions at higher management levels regarding O'Brien's departure.

"Nobody above me has discussed Adam not being at the club...

As far as I am aware, there has been no discussion about Adam's future."

Parr's comments aim to set the record straight amidst the recent media frenzy surrounding the Knights.
