The Tigers are making a bold move in the NRL transfer market, with reports suggesting they are set to offer an eye-watering $800,000 deal to Knights star Bradman Best.

The move would make Best one of the highest-paid centres in the league and would secure his services until 2025 and beyond.

Best had a standout season in 2023, including a stellar Origin debut for the Blues, and the Tigers are keen to bring his talents to their side.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the Tigers are ready to make a substantial offer to Best, with the hope of enticing him away from the Knights.

The contract offer would certainly put him among the league's elite centres in terms of salary.

The Knights, however, are confident they can retain Best, offering him a contract worth over $700,000 per season.

If Best does become available on the open market, there will undoubtedly be plenty of interest from rival clubs.

At just 22 years old, he has already proven himself to be one of the most exciting talents in the game.

The Tigers are not the only club keeping a close eye on Best, as they are also reportedly interested in Dragons back Moses Suli.

With the November 1 deadline for re-signing approaching, the Tigers are keen to make their move and secure Best's services for the long term.

If they are successful in their pursuit, it would be a major coup for the club and a significant boost to their backline.

The Tigers are clearly determined to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level in the NRL.
