The 2023 Dally M Awards, set to take place in Sydney, have announced their nominees, and the NZ Warriors are well represented.

Head coach Andrew Webster, along with five players, has been nominated across seven categories.

Webster, in his rookie season, is up against Ivan Cleary and Kevin Walters for the prestigious Dally M coach of the year award.

Tohu Harris, a standout player for the Warriors, has received nominations for both captain of the year and lock of the year.

Additionally, four of his teammates have been shortlisted for positional awards.

Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has been nominated for the winger category, Shaun Johnson for halfback, Addin Fonua-Blake for prop, and Wayde Egan for hooker.

Webster is a strong contender for the coach award, having led the Warriors to a fourth-place finish on the ladder this season, a significant improvement from their 15th-place finish last year.

The only Warriors coach to have won the award previously is Daniel Anderson in 2002.

Shaun Johnson, a key player for the Warriors, is hoping to become the second player from the club to win the prestigious Dally M Medal as player of the year.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was the first Warriors player to achieve this feat in 2018.
