Jacob Kiraz, the Bulldogs winger, has shared the inspiring message from NSW coach Laurie Daley after being called into the Blues camp last week.
Kiraz was a strong contender for a spot in the team for Game One in Brisbane but faced a setback due to a calf injury sustained in the Bulldogs' last match before the team was announced.
Despite this challenge, Kiraz trained with the team following a scare caused by a hamstring issue with Brian To'o.
However, To'o appears set to play in the upcoming clash against the Maroons on Wednesday night.
This marks Kiraz's second near-miss for a State of Origin debut, fueling his determination to earn his place in the NSW squad in the future.
