The Gold Coast Titans have announced that Keano Kini will need to see a specialist in order to determine a timeline for his return from a neck injury.
The club did not provide any details on how the injury occurred, but confirmed that Kini will be missing at least the upcoming game against the Sydney Roosters.
The team will be looking to continue their winning streak after a strong performance against the Newcastle Knights.
Jaylan de Groot will be taking Kini's place at fullback, seizing the opportunity to showcase his skills and potentially secure a more permanent spot in the lineup.
De Groot was previously rumored to be leaving the Titans at the end of 2025, as he seeks a more consistent role in the NRL.
However, given the team's depth at the position, the Titans may not be able to accommodate his desire for a starting position.
