In an impressive feat, Alofiana Khan-Pereira of the Titans has secured his place in the team's history books by surpassing David Fifita's record for the most tries scored in a single season.

With only 18 games under his belt in his fledgling first-grade career, Khan-Pereira has already etched his name in Titans' folklore.

However, the rookie sensation did not dwell on this accomplishment for long as he quickly set his sights on an even bigger milestone.

This milestone, set by Rabbitohs flyer Alex Johnston, stands at a modest 25 tries, a number Johnston achieved during the 2022 regular season, earning him the prestigious Ken Irvine Medal for the third consecutive year.

It is worth noting that Khan-Pereira managed to score the same number of tries, 25, in the previous season while playing for the Burleigh Bears.

With five games left to play, Khan-Pereira finds himself only seven tries short of this magical quarter-century figure.

However, he faces stiff competition from the Knights' Dominic Young, who currently leads the try-scoring tally with an impressive 20 tries, as well as the incumbent try-scoring king, Johnston, who is also tied with Khan-Pereira at 18 tries.
