Kevin Walters has reconciled with Greg Martin after a series of harsh criticisms directed at him and the Brisbane Broncos.
Last August, following a disappointing home loss to the Bulldogs, Martin used his Triple M radio show to voice his frustrations, calling for Walters's dismissal.
He remarked, "These poncy rock stars that are at the Broncos, they need a kick up the a**,...
no-one is prepared to give it to them because Kevvie isn't tough enough on people." Martin further criticized the team's coaching, suggesting that "Social media has become a bigger part of the Broncos than defensive efforts."
Despite Martin's comments, framed as a mix of joking criticism and calls for change, Walters experienced a significant downfall as the Broncos finished 12th on the ladder, their worst performance after reaching the grand final in 2023.
In response to the criticism, Kevin's son Billy withdrew from regular appearances on the show to support his father.
Recently, in an unexpected turn, Walters joined Martin on the air, alongside Margaux Parker, the wife of Broncos legend Corey Parker.
During this appearance, Walters emphasized that he held no resentment towards Martin, stating that "things were sweet," showcasing his professionalism amidst the fallout.
