In a fervent cry to rectify what he sees as a grand injustice, Kevin Walters, a Queensland Origin and Broncos legend, is leading the charge to bestow the highest honor in rugby league upon his premiership partner-in-crime, Allan Langer.

Walters, known for his strategic game plan and leadership on the field, believes that Langer, affectionately known as 'Alfie', deserves a spot among rugby league's elite Immortals.

With the iconic Dolphins supercoach Wayne Bennett, a legendary figure in the sport, throwing his support behind Langer, the push for his inclusion in the esteemed club is gaining momentum.

Bennett, a tactical genius in his own right, regards Langer as the greatest Bronco of all time, a testament to the playmaking skills and sheer tenacity that Langer displayed throughout his illustrious career.

The NRL's recent announcement of plans to unveil the code's 14th Immortal at a Hall of Fame dinner next month has sparked excitement among fans and players alike.

With a change in eligibility rules allowing for consideration of players like Storm legend Cameron Smith, Walters remains steadfast in his belief that Langer, his trusted assistant at the Broncos, is more than deserving of the prestigious accolade.

"It is pretty clear in my head that Allan Langer is very much underrated as far as elite players go and Immortal players," Walters stated emphatically.

As the rugby league community eagerly awaits the unveiling of the newest Immortal, Walters and Bennett stand united in their quest to ensure that Langer, a true champion of the game, receives the recognition he rightfully deserves.
