Cronulla fullback Will Kennedy has expressed little interest in joining the rebel rugby competition R360, as he remains optimistic about extending his contract with the Sharks.
The Sharks are currently facing salary cap constraints for 2026, making it challenging to accommodate Kennedy's salary demands after re-signing numerous players recently.
Despite the financial hurdles, both Kennedy and the Sharks remain hopeful of reaching an agreement during the off-season that would allow the fullback to continue his tenure at the club.
Kennedy acknowledged that discussions had taken place between his management and representatives from the R360 rugby competition, where he is among several NRL players being courted by the league for its lucrative offerings.
