Cronulla Sharks fullback William Kennedy has recently addressed speculation regarding his potential links to the rebel rugby union competition, R360. As one of several NRL stars under consideration, he also provided updates on his future plans.

In recent months, high-profile players such as Angus Crichton, Jessica Sergis, Jye Gray, Kalyn Ponga, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Ryan Papenhuyzen, and Zac Lomax have been associated with potential moves to R360. This rugby union initiative, although not officially launched, has been actively pursuing top talent with enticing contract offers and is expected to gain traction in the upcoming months.

William Kennedy is a key player in this conversation, as he is currently off-contract despite leading the Dally M leaderboard early this season. When asked about the rumors surrounding R360, Kennedy smiled and expressed his desire to "stay in the NRL," particularly with a new child on the way.

Although he reaffirmed his commitment to the NRL, Kennedy acknowledged the enjoyment of rugby union, having played it during his junior years. "I played a bit of rugby in school, so that's all I've got in me," he shared. This reflects his appreciation for the sport but emphasizes his intention to continue his career within the NRL framework.
