The Parramatta Eels have rewarded back-rower Kitione Kautoga with an upgraded contract extension, following his impressive performance since joining the club from the Canterbury Bulldogs.

According to zerotackle.com, Kautoga has been promoted to the club's Top 30 roster for the remainder of the season and has signed an extension that will keep him with the Eels until at least the end of the 2027 NRL season.

Initially, Kautoga joined on a development contract and has since played 13 matches, debuting in Round 2.

He has emerged as one of the standout players in the Eels' forward pack.

A seasoned player, he is a four-time Fijian international who has scored one try, executed 14 tackle busts, and averages 94 running metres per match, alongside a remarkable 413 total tackles with a 92.4 percent efficiency rate.

"Kitione came to the club looking for an opportunity and he has grabbed it with both hands," remarked Eels GM of Football Mark O'Neill.
