Kangaroo Superstars Align to Conquer England

In a highly anticipated matchup, two of rugby league's biggest stars will team up for the first time as the Kangaroos take on England in the early hours (AEDT) of Sunday morning. Nathan Cleary, the halfback from Penrith, will orchestrate the team's plays, while the formidable Reece Walsh, known for his attacking prowess, will be positioned at fullback, ready to exploit gaps in the England defense.

The recent 2023 Grand Final showcased Walsh's Broncos in an advantageous position, seemingly on the verge of victory, until Cleary made a game-changing impact with a stunning performance, ultimately scoring the decisive try in the closing moments.

Interactions between the two stars at the State of Origin level have been few, due to injuries limiting them to just one match in the 2023 series, which Queensland won 26-18. However, they have encountered each other multiple times in club competitions, with Cleary understanding all too well the challenges posed by Walsh as a formidable opponent.

"He's made me look silly a few times, so I'm very excited to play alongside him, and to try unlock him and allow him to play his best," Cleary remarked as the Kangaroos geared up for the first Test.

Cleary emphasized the importance of teamwork in their upcoming challenge. "All of us have to play the best game to beat England, to be honest," he stated. He added, "It's easy to look at the teamsheet and see talent, but it will be the team that gels together the best and works the hardest for each other that will come out on top on Saturday." He further noted, "The important thing is not to focus too much on the individual."
