After an illustrious career spanning 11 seasons and 209 games in both the NRL and Super League, versatile player Sione Mata'utia has officially hung up his boots at the ripe age of 28.
Last seen tearing up the NRL field in 2020, Mata'utia ventured abroad in 2021, where he showcased his skills in 84 Super League showdowns, culminating in back-to-back Grand Final victories and a triumphant World Club Challenge against the Penrith Panthers in 2023.
A proud three-time Australian Kangaroos representative, Mata'utia left his mark on the game during his time with the Newcastle Knights from 2014 to 2020.
With 31 tries under his belt and a knack for seamlessly transitioning between positions both in the backline and second row, he became a fan favorite among the Knights faithful.
