Kamikamica to lead Bati at Pacific Championships

Melbourne Storm's Tui Kamikamica is ready to captain the Fiji Bati in this year's Pacific Championships.

After suffering disappointment with last week's NRL Grand Final loss, Kamikamica is eager to focus on leading the Bati to victories against Papua New Guinea and the Cook Islands during the tournament.

Wests Tigers winger Sunia Turuva will serve as the vice-captain of a skilled team filled with experienced NRL players.

Turuva is joined by his Tigers teammate Jahream Bula and North Queensland's Semi Valemei in the squad.

Additionally, Bulldogs rising star Jethro Rinakama is poised to make his international debut, having been part of the Fijian team last year.

Kurt Donoghoe of the Dolphins will add physicality in the front line, working alongside Kamikamica, while Manly's young talent Caleb Navale rounds out the pack.

Fiji's first match will be against the Cook Islands on October 18 in Port Moresby, followed by a clash with Papua New Guinea in the third week of the tournament.
