The line-ups for the 2025 All-Stars match have been locked in, and one player's selection is sure to turn heads like a winger sprinting down the sideline.
Kalyn Ponga, who opted out of Kangaroos duty in the 2024 Pacific Championships, will don the Maori All Stars jersey to kick off his 2025 season in style.
Joining Ponga on the Maori side are heavy-hitters like James Fisher-Harris, Keano Kini, Jeremy Marshall-King, Jordan Riki, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, and Leo Thompson, who is set to make waves with the Canterbury Bulldogs come 2026.
Young guns Jacob Laban and Kurtis Morrin have also earned spots in the squad under the watchful eye of coach Adam Blair.
Meanwhile, the Indigenous team will see Jayden Campbell make his debut alongside the likes of Shaquai Mitchell, although the absence of suspended stars Josh Addo-Carr and Latrell Mitchell will surely be felt.
But as they say in Rugby League, it's not about the names on the back of the jersey, but the strength of the team as a whole.
