Rugby League star Kai O'Donnell is heading back to his roots, signing a two-year deal with the North Queensland Cowboys for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

The Proserpine Brahmans junior, who once cut his teeth in the Cowboys Academy, made his NRL debut with the Canberra Raiders back in 2020, before taking his talents overseas to the UK in 2022.

Over the past three seasons, O'Donnell has been a force to be reckoned with for Leigh, helping the Leopards claw their way to promotion in his first year.

Known for his powerful build and knack for finding the try line, O'Donnell has racked up an impressive 23 tries in his 62 appearances for the Leopards.

Now, he's set to bring his grit and determination back to North Queensland, ready to make his mark in the Cowboys jersey once again.
